Terms of Use
The agreement between you and YourWorksheets — who may use it, what you own, what you may and may not do, plans and payments, and how either side can end it.
Version 2.1 · In force from 13 October 2026 · Last updated 13 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the operator of YourWorksheets (“YourWorksheets”, “we”, “us”), an individual based in Türkiye. Our full details are on the Legal information page.
The agreement is made up of these Terms and the documents they refer to:
- the Acceptable Use Policy, which you accept together with these Terms;
- the Content Licence and Library Terms, when you publish to the library;
- the Billing and Refund Terms, the Pre-contract Information and the Distance Sales Contract, when you buy a plan;
- the Data Processing Terms, when you create student accounts.
Where two of them deal with the same thing, the more specific one applies. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice and, for users in Türkiye, in the KVKK notice; those are information, not contract terms.
This version applies to accounts created from 13 October 2026. For accounts created earlier it applies from 12 November 2026; until then version 1.0 still applies to them.
2. Who may use YourWorksheets
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You use YourWorksheets as a teacher or other educator, or as a parent or guardian.
- Children use YourWorksheets only through student accounts their teacher or school creates (section 4). They never sign up themselves.
- If you sign up for a school or another organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.
3. Your account
Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password to yourself, and tick “Keep me signed in” only on a device that is yours. One account is for one person. Tell us at once through the help center if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it happened because of our failure.
4. Teachers who create student accounts
If you create student accounts, you confirm that:
- your school or institution has authorised you to do so — or you act as the student’s parent or guardian — and the students’ parents or guardians have been informed as your school and the law require (a parent letter is ready for you);
- you enter only what is needed: a first name or a nickname. No surname, identity number, photo, health information or other sensitive information;
- you do not put personal information about students into worksheets or AI prompts.
For the student data you enter, you (or your school) decide why it is used and we handle it on your behalf, under the Data Processing Terms. You can remove a student or a class at any time: their work and profile are deleted with them, and their messages 90 days later (so a record survives if a concern is raised).
5. Your content stays yours
You own the worksheets, templates and files you create or upload. You give us only the licence we need to run YourWorksheets for you: to store, back up, process and display your content to you and to the people you choose, and to make technical copies such as thumbnails, previews and print files. Our service providers act under the same limits. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for remixes others made under a library licence and for backup copies that expire on their normal cycle.
You confirm that you have the rights you need for what you upload — images included — that it does not infringe anyone’s rights, and that it contains no personal information about students or other children.
6. Publishing to the library
Publishing is always your choice. A published worksheet is public: anyone can see it, and other people may use it under the licence you choose when you publish (Content Licence and Library Terms). Your display name is shown as its author. You can unpublish or delete it at any time, but copies others have already downloaded cannot be recalled. Anyone can report content they think is unlawful or breaks our rules.
Library worksheets cannot be sold through YourWorksheets. A worksheet that already carries a price stays visible as a one-page preview.
7. AI features
AI Studio writes worksheet drafts from what you ask for, using the AI providers named on the AI use page, which also explains what is sent and kept.
- Check every draft before you teach from it. AI output can be wrong, pitched at the wrong level or off-topic while looking convincing. You are the teacher; the draft is for you to review.
- Do not enter personal information about students or anyone else.
- Drafts are not unique to you. Similar settings can produce similar results for others, and we cannot promise that a draft is original or protected by copyright.
- Your plan sets how many drafts you can create each month. If a generation fails after it was counted, it is returned to your allowance.
You may use the worksheets you make for your own teaching, including teaching you are paid for.
8. Acceptable use
Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing unlawful, harmful or inappropriate for a classroom; no attempts to break our security or reach other people’s data; no scraping or automated load; no getting around quotas or limits; no reselling YourWorksheets itself. We may remove content and restrict accounts as that policy describes.
9. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Starter is free. Plus and Pro are paid subscriptions; their prices and allowances are on the pricing page.
- Paid plans are sold by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record: Polar is the seller, takes the payment, handles tax and refunds, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. We never see your card details.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time under Account → Billing → Manage subscription. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for; then your account returns to Starter and nothing you made is deleted.
- Before you pay you see the price, the billing period, the renewal rule and how to cancel. The Billing and Refund Terms explain refunds and price changes.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected by anything in these Terms.
10. The watermark
Worksheets made on Starter carry a faint YourWorksheets mark on screen and in print. Do not remove, cover or alter it on worksheets made on Starter. Plus and Pro remove it from your worksheets.
11. Our intellectual property
YourWorksheets itself — the software, the design system, the fox mascot, the YourWorksheets name and logo, and the ready-made templates — belongs to us. You may use the templates to make worksheets, including worksheets you teach with commercially. You may not copy or extract the templates or the design system to build a competing product, or use our name and logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep YourWorksheets running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel, and your statutory rights apply. If we ever close YourWorksheets, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your work.
Keep your own copies of anything you rely on — export important worksheets to PDF.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using YourWorksheets and delete your account at any time under Account → Delete account. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first so that billing stops.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we tell you why, give you a chance to respond, and let you export your data first — unless doing so would break the law or put others at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue after the agreement ends (for example 5, 14 and 15) continue.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for intent or gross negligence, and for death or personal injury — or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, and for users who act for a business, school or other institution: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for all claims about YourWorksheets is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose and 50 US dollars.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. Consumers in Türkiye can apply to the consumer arbitration committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the consumer court (Tüketici Mahkemesi) of their place of residence, within the monetary limits set by law each year; where the law requires it, mediation comes before a court case. Consumers in the European Union or the United Kingdom may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where they live.
Other disputes are decided by the courts of Türkiye. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved without a dispute.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change affects your rights or obligations, we tell you by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect and ask you to accept it. If you do not agree, you can export your data, cancel your subscription and delete your account before the change takes effect. Smaller corrections are published here with a note in the legal changelog. Every earlier version stays available in the version history.
17. Language
These Terms are available in Turkish and English. For users in Türkiye, and for consumers whose law requires it, the Turkish text prevails; otherwise the English text prevails.
18. General
These Terms and the documents listed in section 1 are the whole agreement about YourWorksheets. If a provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up. We may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over YourWorksheets, and we will tell you if we do; you may not transfer it without our agreement. We send notices to the e-mail address on your account.
