Content Licence and Library Terms
Who owns what you make, the limited licence you give us, the licences you can choose when you publish to the library, and the rules for remixing.
Version 1.0 · In force from 13 October 2026 · Last updated 13 October 2026
1. You own your content
You keep ownership of everything you create or upload. The licence you give us to run the service is set out in section 5 of the Terms of Use: we store, process and show your content only to provide YourWorksheets to you and to the people you choose. We do not use your worksheets to train AI models, and we do not sell them.
2. Publishing is your choice
Nothing you make is public until you publish it. When you publish, you confirm that:
- you own the worksheet or have the right to publish it;
- it contains no personal information about students or other children;
- its images are yours or properly licensed to you.
A published worksheet shows your display name as its author, and the licence you chose.
3. The licences you can choose
| Licence | Others may | Others may not |
|---|---|---|
| YourWorksheets Educator Licence 1.0 (default) | Use it in their teaching — in class, at home or in tutoring, paid or unpaid; print and copy it for their learners; adapt it, keeping your name as the original author | Sell it or an adaptation of it as a product; republish it on other websites or marketplaces without your permission; remove your name |
| Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY) | Use, share and adapt it for any purpose, including commercially, as long as they credit you | Remove the credit |
| Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC) | Use, share and adapt it with credit, for non-commercial purposes | Use it commercially |
| CC0 1.0 | Anything — you give up your rights as far as the law allows | — |
The Creative Commons licences apply under their own official texts. Your moral rights as author — such as the right to be named — remain yours as far as the law provides.
4. Remixes
Someone who adapts a published worksheet must follow its licence and credit the original author. If you unpublish or delete a worksheet, it disappears from the library, but copies already downloaded and adaptations already made under the licence can continue under the terms they were made under.
5. Templates and our assets
The ready-made templates, the fox mascot and the other illustrations in YourWorksheets belong to us or to their licensors. You may use them inside the worksheets you make — including worksheets you publish or teach with commercially — but not on their own, outside a worksheet, or to build a competing product.
6. Prices
Library worksheets cannot be sold through YourWorksheets. Prices set before 13 October 2026 are no longer shown; those worksheets stay visible as a one-page preview, and only their author — and the students the author assigns them to — can open them in full.
7. When something goes wrong
If you think a published worksheet infringes your rights or breaks the law, report it. See also the Copyright Policy.
