Dear parent or guardian,
In our class we use an education tool called YourWorksheets so that students can do worksheets on a computer or tablet. This letter explains how your child’s information is handled.
What is stored? Your child’s first name (or nickname), username, class, the work they do and its results, their avatar and pet choices and the rewards they earn, and messages between your child and their teacher. No surname, photo, identity number, address or contact details are stored. The account has no e-mail address.
Who decides, and who handles it? Our school / the teacher decides what this information is used for. YourWorksheets handles it only on our behalf and on our instructions.
Why? To give your child worksheets, mark their work and show their progress to their teacher.
Who sees it? Only the class teacher and the technical providers that run the service. There is no advertising, children are not tracked, students cannot message each other and cannot see each other’s work.
Where is it processed? YourWorksheets’ providers are mainly in the United States, so the information is transferred abroad. Details: yourworksheets.com/legal/subprocessors
How long is it kept? Until the teacher removes the student or the class. When that happens, the work and profile are deleted at once and the messages 90 days later.
Your rights. To ask about, correct or delete your child’s information, or for your other rights under data-protection law, contact us first: …………………… You can also write to YourWorksheets directly: privacy@yourworksheets.com. You keep the right to complain to the data protection authority.
Closing the account. If you want your child’s account deleted, just tell us.
